# Credits

> How generation uses credits.

Generating with AI models consumes **credits**. Credits are pooled at the [workspace](/account/team) level, so everyone on the team draws from the same balance. Your current balance is always visible in the app.

## What uses credits

* **Images** cost varies by model and by size or resolution.
* **Video** is priced per second of output, with a higher rate when audio is generated—so longer, higher-resolution clips cost more.
* **Text** generation consumes credits by model.

A [disabled node](/concepts/nodes#disabling-a-node) is skipped on a run and costs nothing, which is a handy way to iterate on part of a workflow without paying to regenerate the rest.

## Your credit balance

Each workspace has two kinds of credits:

* **Monthly credits** — your allocation, refreshed each month. Unused credits roll over up to a cap.
* **Add-on credits** — purchased separately, never expire, and aren't affected by plan changes.

Generations draw from monthly credits first, then add-on credits.

Buy add-on credits and manage billing from **Settings → Billing**.
